The Sri Lanka Badminton Federation has finalised a squad ahead of the Badminton Asia Junior Under 17 & Under 15 Championships that is expected to be held in Kudus, Indonesia.
The tournament organised by Badminton Asia Confederation is one of the five major tournaments in the Asian calendar that witnesses the participation of players from the 40 member countries. A total of 10 events will be held in the junior level championships in both categories of boys and girls. A total representation of 288 players will be making their way to the Badminton Asia Confederation complex in Indonesia and out of which 32 will be from Sri Lanka.
The confirmed list of players was chosen after a series of trials that were held under the purview of the governing body of badminton in the country; the Sri Lanka Badminton Federation (SLBF). The Asia juniors are expected to begin on the 5th of October 2016 and are expected to conclude on the 9th of October.
Duminda Niroshan Silva, Krishantha Godahewa and Yoshiyuki Nakamura will be the official coaches for the tour
