Mode Engineering vs John Keels A
John Keels A secured a comfortable 6-wicket win over Mode Engineering which was held at the Panagoda Army Grounds.
Mode Engineering’s innings were restricted to 167 by opposite bowlers led by, Eshan Malinga who got 3/34 while Dunith Wellalage and Raveen Sayer took a couple of wickets each.
Dhananjaya Lakshan take John Keels A home with a run-a-ball 48* before Pasindu Sooriyabandara smashed 41-ball 56 as John Keels A chased down the target in 27.3 overs with 6 wickets in hand.
Hayleys Group A vs CDB A
Hayleys Group A clinched a low-scoring thriller versus CDB A at NCC Grounds in Colombo.
Hayleys Group A bowled out for 160 with Nuwanindu Fernando scoring 44 while Muditha Lakshan bagged 2/7.
However, CDB A crumbled out for 91, led by T.M. Sampath who produced an unbelievable spell of 6/13 to a 69-run victory for Hayleys Group A.
CL Synergy Limited vs BBK Partnership
CL Synergy Limited became victorious against BBK Partnership at SL Army Ordnance Corps Sports Complex in Dombagoda.
Sahan Arachchige and Avishka Tharindu stroked half-centuries by adding 65 and 55, respectively. Navod Paranavithana also scored 40 runs as CL Synergy Limited managed to post 276/8 in their 50 overs. With the ball, Arul Pragash got 4/33.
In reply, BBK Partnership got to a decent start with Imitiaz Slaza scoring 40. Apart from that Sheran Fonseka, Jehan Daniel and Sohan De Livera scored 35, 22 and 20, respectively but that didn’t help them when chasing 250+ total as they were bundled out for 177. Dilum Sudeera and Priyamal Perera scalped three apiece to lead CL Synergy Limited to a 99-run victory.
Fairfirst Insurance vs HNB A
MCA Grounds in Colombo hosted a match where Fairfirst Insurance beat HNB A by 73 runs.
Fairfirst Insurance batted first in this match with 43 overs per side and posted 271/5. Asela Sigera was their top scorer with 61-ball 83 where he remained not out while Anuk Fernando also got a fifty. In the bowling department, Chamindu Wijesinghe bagged 3/54.
Chasing 272 to win in just 43 wickets looked a difficult task for HNB A. Asitha Wanninayake contributed them with a fifty while Janishka Perera added 36 off 31. Apart from that, no one made useful contributions as they were eventually bowled out for 198 led by Thanuka Dabare who registered a brilliant fifer.
