20 player Sri Lanka Netball pool Netball World Cup 2023

The Netball Federation of Sri Lanka (NFSL) has selected a 20-player Sri Lanka Netball pool in preparation for the Netball World Cup 2023.

Netball World Cup will be held from 28th July – 6th August in Cape Town, South Africa. The squad will continue training under head coach Thilaka Jinadasa until the squad is further trimmed down to 15 players.

9 of the 12 players that was part of the 2022 Asian Championship winning squad is included. Tharjini Sivalingam makes the squad even though she didn’t participate in the trials, as she is playing in Australia, while Bhashini De Silva is included following a medical letter.

The pool was selected by the selection committee headed by former Sri Lanka captain Damayanthi Jayathilake, Thisangani Kodituwakku and Chamika Jayasekara.
