Rahula College dominated proceedings on Day 2, but Dharmapala College showed resilience to force a draw in the 14th Battle of the Golden Lions.
Resuming at 47/5, Dharmapala managed to post 157 in their first innings, thanks to a fighting 67 from Praveen Ranhiru and a handy 36 from Ramiru Mandeepa. Uchitha Kevin was the star with the ball for Rahula, claiming an impressive 6/54, while skipper Sadew Gamage chipped in with 2/34.
Forced to follow on, Dharmapala found themselves under pressure once again but showed more fight in their second innings. Ranhiru stood tall once more with a determined 57, guiding his side to 94/5 at stumps, ensuring the match ended in a hard-fought draw.
