The 31st Travel Trade Sports Club Swimming Championships will be held on Saturday, the 21st of November 2015 at the Thurstan College Pool, from 1.30 pm onwards.
Officiated by the Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union, this year’s meet will see an increased number of 95 events from the 51 events that took place last year for heightened competition.
The meet will be conducted for Men & Women in three categories: Novices, Championship & Veterans on a Team Championship Basis and
The Novices events will be conducted in three age categories : 18 to 29, 30 to 39 & 40 to 49. The Championship events will be conducted in six age categories : 18 to 24, 25 to 29, 30 to 34, 35 to 39, 40 to 44 and 45 to 49 and the Veterans category will be for Men & Women over 50 years of age. Championships will be awarded to both Men and Women of all age groups.
This year’s episode of the championship will witness the participation of the defending champions Sri Lankan Airlines, last year’s runners up – the Combined team from Walkers Tours & Whittalls Travels and eleven other teams from Cinnamon Wild, Yala, Luxe Asia, Cinnamon City Hotels, Emirates, Hemas Travels, Hunnas Falls, Kandy, Taj Samudra, Viluxur Holidays, Diethlam Travels, Club Bentota & Waters Edge.
