The Mahadeva Judo Club at Jeyanthinagar in Kilinochchi added to the history as the first Judo club in the Northern and Eastern Provinces of Sri Lanka.

 

Major Tharindu Weerasinghe the General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Judo Association inaugurated the ceremony on the 23rd April 2013. Mr. P.W.Jayawardana the Coaching Chairman of the Sri Lanka Judo Association is the appointed Judo coach by the Ministry of Sports for these students at Mahadeva Achchirama Saivach Chiruvarillam (Mahadeva Aashramam).
