The Sri Lankan contingent that took part in the Shanghai 7’s tournament for the second year running lost their cup quarter finals 21-14 against the defending champs Korea. The score line suggests that it was a closely fought out game. A full match report will be posted soon. The Sri Lanka team will be heading back to the country after the loss since the second day is played on knock out basis. 

 

South Africa A cruised to a seven-wicket victory against Sri Lanka A in a final dress rehearsal at the P Sara Oval on Saturday to maintain their unbeaten run in the triangular A team tournament that also features Pakistan A. South Africa chased down a modest target of 255 with ease as the Sri Lankan bowlers looked out of sorts baring all rounder Sachithra Serasinhge who bagged 3 wickets for 48.
